Tournus

With its cobbled streets, Medieval and Renaissance houses, Tournus is a delightful town to visit. It was the birthplace of Jean-Baptiste Greuze in 1725. The 10th Century abbey church has a fortified air - a reminder of the unsure times when it was built in a very austere and severe ‘Lombard Romanesque’ style.
