Haguenau is an ancient town at the northernmost tip of Alsace on the edge of the Forest of Haguenau. It is an ideal centre from which to explore the region with its many walks and rides in the beautiful forest.
The centre of the town is now a pedestrian precinct with winding narrow streets and small squares. The town has an abundance of fairs, festivals and pageants throughout the year, culminating in the famous Christmas Market.
